This Wednesday I'm off to New York City for the very first time ever, and I'm attending New York Comic Con while I'm there! I'll be helping out at the Girls Drawin Girls booth from 9-12pm on Friday. (see above for booth location!) Come by and say hello and pick up a copy of their newest book, "The way nature made her", which has my mermaid illustration inside:

The other week over Labor Day my friend Kelly came to visit me from Minnesota and we went on many adventures together! Part of her visit was to celebrate her birthday, in which my friend Lillian and I took her out to eat at Super H Mart's tasty korean cafeteria area. I hadn't been there in years since it's far from my house, but looking at the food pics makes me want to go back soooon.
We also took her to a place called, "White Windmill" which is a favorite bakery of mine to get tasty little donuts and taro bubble tea... Check out the super adorable chocolates I spotted there that day! After that we did a little shopping, in which I picked up this super cute Hello Kitty purse...
Wheee! I'm still super pumped from this Tuesday... Lillian, Emma and I went to see Katy Perry perform her first US show (which happened to be on my birthday!) and then afterwords we got to meet her!! It was such an amazing time! Katy puts on a awesome show - great singing and dancing, super cool stage set ups and costumes to die for! I'm so in love with the dress she had on in the meet and greet photo above... Actually, all of her show outfits have inspired me to try to make a few for myself. They were so creative and fun!
Before the show we met up with our friends Emily and Pip in the lobby and took some photos at the Schick California Dreams photobooth. Pictured above left to right: Emma, Jason, Lillian, myself, Emily and Pip!

I originally had a different purse on me, but I put it in the cute tote bag I bought! Looove the design!

Just a quick photo update for this weeks "What I wore"... which is actually "What WE wore" seeing as my best friend Emma joined me for photos this time! Last night we went to see Eisley together and this is what we wore for the show. I think we both had kinda a modern meets retro thing going on - do you see it? Also, the giant bow around my waist is a purse - not a belt! (I think technically a "fanny pack" - hehehe) I've had a couple of people ask me about it in person trying to figure out what it is... I made mine, but if you'd like one for yourself this etsy seller makes fabulous bow belt purses.
It was hard for us to stand still because we were both goofing off, so my boyfriend (who took these!) suggested I put all the photos into a gif to show that. Haha - here you go :)
